My wife and I were most excited to spend our 39th wedding anniversary at the Heidel House. Upon arrival, we were told "the restaurant is closed due to an event" which was code language for "we do not have enough staff". Check in took …

Very nice hotel, great views of the lake, and an amazing outdoor seating area with a firepit to sit around and enjoy and relax. Only thing I wish this place had was a basketball hoop in the pool area. Put a couple of those in there and it’s a perfect hotel. Highly recommend staying here.

We stayed overnight for a wedding. We had a king suite on the ground floor. It was very spacious with a small patio outside, a small kitchenette, & a living area with a pullout couch. They had the wrong size coffee cups in the room so the coffee ended up overflowing. You could see that this had happened previously. The wedding & reception venues were nice. The screen door in the reception hall has seen better days. The food & service were good. The views are amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

Enjoy staying here, even though I am literally down the street. Love the ability to have friends/family all together. Josh AGM, and Lori at the desk are kind and accommodating. Holiday decor was festive and beautiful. Braved the firepit, love it.

A family member hosted her wedding here from the ceremony to the reception. Just lovely! Views of beautiful Green Lake set a magical, peaceful backdrop for an elegant ceremony and reception. Our room had a walk out balcony and was clean and comfortable. The bridal preparation room was large and cozy with a huge arched window, great for pics. The men had a room, too, with gourmet snacks. The staff worked hard to make our special day happen without worries. Heidel House is historic, elegant and relevant! Highly recommended.

Attended the "Murder Mystery Dinner" and wish I would have saved my money. There was a cocktail hour from 5pm-6pm. The appetizers ran out 11 minutes into the hour. The one bar was completely overwhelmed and we had to go to the main lobby bar for drinks. The three course dinner was completely inedible - first course salad looked like a sad wilted handful of weeds. Second course was beef and polenta that had sat so long under the heat lamp it was dried out and the polenta was hard and lumpy. Third course dessert was an apple tart, but the apples were awful and the tart was so hard it couldn't be cut with knife. I paid $70 to be at this dinner and did not eat any of the food. On top of all this, we were sat in the far corner so we could barely see the stage or hear the actors. This was the worst event I've ever attended.

My wife and I traveled to Green Lake Wisconsin to bring in the new year. The staff was most helpful, the place was immaculate, and the experience was simply breathtaking. Definitely a good place for the family, mature crowd, peaceful environment.

The hotel was crowded for the 4th of July weekend but it was well staffed and prepared. The bar downstairs restaurant was out of some items and the food was OK. Staff was plenty but keep up the training! The drinks were great. The pool …
